[dropcap id=”Main Cap” type=”simple”]M[/dropcap]usic is a critical part of the Lodge Experience at Enlightenment Lodge No. 198.  Whether for use during ritual, agapes, or other Lodge ceremonies – our Lodge Musician is charged with “…seeking all the creations of Euterpe and using them to the benefit of your brothers: for joy, for solemnity, for majesty, for sorrow – for all the manifestations of Masonic ritual and work.  You are to research the musical history of all civilizations and select that which is appropriate to each component of Masonic ritual, for in the mind’s eye, music has the power to create images unique to the experience of the initiate, while conveying the sensory message of the majesty and excellence of Masonic rites.”
